Rin Lennon AKA "The Bad Girl Of Pop"
Rin plays both Vox Mark IV 6 string and Vox Tempest 12 string in the local band "Monogroove" and plays bass guitar for Chikwood, the all female Pop ‘n Soul group. Lennon has also performed with The VK Lynne Band, Stephanie Erdel and the Cooks, Stacy Evans Band, The Whiskey Man band Jennifer Corday, Fast Sail and subs for many other bands, on bass or electric guitar.
Born in LA,, she was formerly signed to Pulse Records with her girl pop band ON THE AIR, on MTV in rotation of their song “Carol” as well as an appearance on the cable TV show “It’s Happening”. Lennon has written over 100 songs, some licensed by other artists, film and TV shows. Recipient of a Gold Record songwriting credit for “I Give Up on You” Lennon has, in various incarnations, opened for The Bangles, Plimsoles, Concrete Blonde, Megadeath, Miami Sound Machine and Social Distortion, amongst others. In addition to her playing, Lennon was concurrently a sound engineer at L.A.’s Karman Ross Studios working with Oingo Boingo, REM, The Police, Guns and Roses, The Bangles, and many others.
Her day job finds her working as a veterinarian technician with 30 years of experience at a local animal hospital and also running her own non-profit 501c3 animal rescue group called Rin’s Rescues, V.I.P. (Very Important Pet) House.
